Selecting the best games from such a robust library is no easy feat; however, we have compiled a list of our favorite Nintendo Switch titles to the best of our ability.

1. Metroid Prime
The Metroid Prime game was released in 2002. It is a video game from the future. Even though this stunning new remaster from 2023 possesses a distinctly futuristic vibe. The visuals of the game are impressively improved. The brand-new controls are remarkable. After playing this game for hours, we have considered Metroid Prime among the best video games ever created. People can relive the excitement, which is fantastic.
2. Celeste
Celeste, a wonderful platformer with a meaningful message fits perfectly in our list of top nintendo switch games. Madeline ventures to Mount Celeste, a dangerous snowy peak with cliffs and colorful characters. Celeste focuses on timing your jumps and plays like a classic platformer, beautifully pixelated. The game moves wonderfully, and you progress through the game and unlock more powerful upgrades, naturally raising the difficulty. The game is challenging, but you can adjust the difficulty to your liking to still enjoy the story. Celeste tells a moving story about coming into one’s own and overcoming the nagging doubts that creep in. It is not only one of the best side-scrolling platformers on Switch, but it also resonates emotionally as one of the most loved games of recent years.
3. Link’s Awakening
Nintendo Switch makes the vast island of Koholint from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening look better than ever, due to the game’s charming, toyetic visual style and bizarrely dark undertones. New audiences and old fans can enjoy the strange tale of Link’s shipwreck on a mysterious island full of eccentric characters and sprawling dungeons on a modern system with this remake. The classic Zelda game receives a fresh coat of paint, makes great quality-of-life improvements, and adds a ton of hidden collectibles; its greatest achievement is maintaining the same strange, haunting, and beautiful atmosphere as the original game.

4. ARMS
Nintendo has named their latest entry in the fighting game lineup ARMS. It has a blend of cartoonish visuals, futuristic weapons, and arm-stretching boxing, making it an approachable, quirky fighter with many options. It resembles Splatoon and is an excellent competitive game. Even if the esports community doesn’t embrace ARMS, you can still have plenty of time to compete against your friends in this game.
5. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the best game in the series. It improves the clumsy gameplay of its predecessors and provides players with ample incentive to continue developing their island. It also, predictably, provides extra incentive to furnish your digital mansion and wardrobe, looking better than any previous entry. The sound design achieves ASMR levels of brain-tingling comfort.
6. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Nintendo has proven they can top their previous masterpiece, even though it’s difficult. Tears of the Kingdom offers a vast world full of dungeons, shrines, and quests to explore, making it the best sandbox adventure game on the Switch, if not the entire market. Additionally, the game introduces new abilities that emphasize creation. For instance, Link can utilize his ultrahand to construct vehicles, while fuse allows for innovative weapons.

7. Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey exceeds expectations with its inventiveness, dazzling visuals, smart gameplay, seamless design, joyful experience, and creative elements.
Nintendo’s Super Mario Odyssey, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is an open-world adventure game. Developers have completely reimagined everything you know about Mario. However, the finely honed tuning of the gameplay experience makes it feel incredible the entire time your hands are on the controller.
8 Cuphead
Studio MDHR developed Cuphead, an action platformer and a dazzling homage to classic animation, which is fantastic. Cuphead was initially available on Xbox One and PC, but later, the developers ported it to Nintendo Switch. The transition to the Switch hardware was made without a hitch, and it functions faultlessly whether you’re using it in TV or handheld mode. People can instantly recognize the visual style of Cuphead. The hand-drawn characters and animations in Cuphead give it a timeless visual style that resembles those found in 1930s cartoons. The jazzy sound design completes the presentation, taking the player to a different era. You can play a cartoon. Cuphead is not only a visual marvel, but it also features well-thought-out run-and-gun gameplay with thrilling boss fights and inventive side-scrolling levels. Those who thrive on difficulty must try Cuphead, whether solo or with a friend. The Delicious Last Course DLC made Cuphead even better by adding a new playable character and incorporating some of the game’s best boss fights and animations.
9. Chicory: A Colorful Tale
Chicory: A Colorful Tale turns its world into a giant paint canvas and ties painting with puzzle solving, breathing new life into the top-down adventure genre, which is both rare and delightful. Chicory possesses a lot of appealing features, such as a clever hint system, beautiful music, adorable characters, tempting collectibles, and intriguing paint mechanics, but what truly distinguishes it is its sincere storytelling.
The game’s realistic portrayal of imposter syndrome, mental health, and the difficulties of being creative is beautifully complemented by its intense boss fights. What a lovely piece of art that depicts art.
The Chicory team is working hard on its next game, featuring a lovable anthropomorphic being with only two legs.
10. Bayonetta 2
Despite its age, Bayo 2 remains one of the best action games, and now that the Switch has ported it from the Wii U, it will finally receive the love and respect it deserves. It’s the pinnacle of action games because it offers tight controls, presents a challenging gameplay loop, and showcases a ton of visual flair.

11. Dead Cells
Dead Cells combines elements from roguelikes and metroidvanias to create a game that will stand the test of time as a classic. The player takes on the role of a reanimated blob of cells that tries to seize control of a prisoner’s body in a procedurally generated castle. Hostile foes infest the castle’s mazelike corridors, and hidden treasures are strewn throughout. You must restart whenever you die, which occurs quite frequently. Most importantly, permanent enhancements allow you to advance and explore new areas with each playthrough. The developers of Dead Cells expertly crafted and designed the action combat to be aesthetically pleasing. They also included a wide variety of cool abilities and weapons for players to enjoy.
Additionally, they created a uniquely designed map for each playthrough. Dead Cells, like any good roguelike, will keep you coming back for more. Dead Cells’ excellent downloadable content (DLC) includes a Castlevania-themed expansion, which fits well.
12. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Koji Igarashi, the mastermind behind numerous acclaimed Castlevania games, conceived of and directed the plot of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which revolves around a demon-infested castle and a lone hero. If this sounds incredibly familiar, it’s because of his involvement. Bloodstained is on par with Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia when compared to them. If you’ve been craving something new and enjoyable in the Castlevania vein since before Lords of Shadow rebooted the series and Mirror of Fate failed to capture any of its luster, this game is for you.
